Weather Policy
RAIN: The weather in Florida can change very quickly, especially in the summer. If rain is expected we will contact you at least 2hrs prior to departure when we have the most accurate radar. During rainy season (June to August) Florida weather can be unpredictable, but we usually expect most rain to occur in the late afternoon hours. If rain is expected at the time of departure we will try and bump up or push back the departure time to avoid the weather. If this does not work with your schedule you will be offered a 15 % rebooking discount to reschedule. If that is not an option for you, we will issue a full refund. If we are able to depart and the radar shifts showing rain will arrive mid-tour, the captains will immediately return to the dock to keep everyone safe and dry. At that time, if you were scheduled for a 2hr tour, we will update the reservation to a 1hr tour and refund the difference in fare. If you were scheduled for a 1hr tour that was cut short due to weather then the refund is prorated based on time received. The refund will be issued to the card on file. WIND: Our pontoon boats are equipped to handle some higher winds as they are designed to operate within both interior lakes and on ocean waters. On windy days we are generally able to continue operating under a certain threshold. We will NEVER put the safety of our guests above the desire to tour. Our lakes are unique in that they are surrounded by barriers of Cypress trees, homes and other vegetation. This means that certain lakes will not be choppy at all during higher winds while others may be. The wind speed and direction are used to determine whether or not we will still have access to enough calm lakes to proceed with our tour schedule. In most cases we can usually complete a one hour tour on a windier day as those only visit 3 to 4 lakes. However, our two hours would likely be downgraded to a one hour in windy circumstances. If you are scheduled on a day that we will still be doing tours you will be given an option to downgrade to a one hour tour, reschedule your tour completely or cancel without penalty. If the wind threshold and direction will both be unfavorable, tours would be cancelled and all guests would be given the option to reschedule (with a 15% rebooking discount) or receive a full refund.
